But isn't it more than a little snobbish to assume that poor or less educated women don't know what's in their best interest?

I think that in the MSM and even on this site, the comments seem to indicate that because women generally tended to favour Hillary Clinton that it was somehow a less than victory. Or that women are somehow not smart enough to pick the best candidate. I'm not saying that you are doing this. But it's clearly been the trend.

I think the fact that it seems that many lower income voters tended to prefer Hillary is to her credit and should be seen as such, especially on such a strongly progressive site as this one. Aren't we progressives interested in income fairness and equity across society, universal health care etc?

I thought it very telling that higher income folks tended to turn out for Obama. Had it been the other way, the anti-Hillary brigade on this site would have been trumpeting the statistics saying that it was proof that Hillary's proposals don't help the little guy. Instead when it turned out that the little guys could see for themselves that Hillary has the more progressive proposals that will actually help them, the anti-Hillary folks snobbishly claim that it must be that Hillary supporters just aren't smart enough. Either because of their income levels or gender.
