I am touched.  Seriously! I thought this one turned out well too, a good match of topicality, that fit my interest and expertise.  A lucky combination indeed.

I know what you're talking about with rec's.  I remember the old days, well the real old days before diaries at all when all the action was on the posts, and then when the diary function arrived and your piece would still sit up there for a quarter to half the day.

I guess you must even remember the days before scoop.

into Walter Brennan here with all that good old days stuff.  There are still glimpses of those days with some diaries carrying comment threads worthy of their own blogs, I find.  Rarer, but they can still be found.  I tend to follow MB around the site, because the chances increase that he'll be part of those threads when they do occur.

. . . we didn't have these newfangled thingamajigs called diaries and if you wanted to say something, you said it on the main thread where everyone could see it!

        Ha ha.

Glimpses of terrific stuff, but a whole lot of "Why Edward's Name shall Remain on my Lunch Box Until the End, God Damn it!" too.

Nice catching up.  I gotta get back to work.
