  •  Ethics counts for something. (0+ / 0-)

I'm tired of people setting what is legal as the bar for how they should behave.

It's what we excoriated the Bush administration for when he changed his stance from firing 'anyone involved with the Plame leak' to firing 'anyone convicted of breaking the law in relation to the Plame leak'.

    •  How is this unethical? (0+ / 0-)

If you are in MI and the democratic primary is meaningless, than using your vote in a meaningful way is the right thing to do.

Keeping Mitt in the race to spend his money denigrating the other republicans is not unethical.

We are here discussing it for all to see.  We are not jamming phone lines through some shell company.  We are not keeping people with the same names as convicts from voting.  We are openly inviting people to use their vote to fuck with Mitt's head.

I understand that we should act ethically and that the ends don't justify the means, but anything that is legal and decreases the chances of a republican being elected in November is almost inherently ethical (ask anyone without health insurance about that).

      •  Ask yourself this: (0+ / 0-)

If GOP bloggers were encouraging their readers to jump the lines and vote in the Dem primary, would you feel it was kosher?

        •  I, for one, would not be castigating them (0+ / 0-)

for effectively exploiting this legal loophole, but I WOULD certainly advocate CLOSING that loophole for the good of the party.
