    But do we just give up the fight? Injustice is not unique to here. I was just thinking, thanks to some of the thoughts here, where could you go where government was not run by corrupt power hungry people, or there wasn't a totally different set of problems. Maybe one of the Scandinavian countries. I don't know.

    I tend to suspect I have "grass is always greener" syndrome. Most of the world is climbing over each other to come here, and maybe I don't appreciate what I have.

      As with any relationship, we each have to choose for ourselves the point at which we can no longer accept the terms of the relationship.   We all have a breaking point.

      Certainly most governments are corrupt, or greedy, or power-mad, or incompetent.  Or all of the above.  But now and then we should all take stock of whether there's a better choice to be made -- as in the area of health care.  If most countries are fairly similar but one country offers affordable health care and that's a huge priority for us, then we might feel called to think about whether we're living in the right place.
