... IMHO that negate this is for her to call the quote inaccurate, protest to the newspaper, and the newspaper would have to admit its egregious error and print a correction.

But I'm with you, can't wait to see what happens.

Too bad she decided to comment on the Obama quote in the first place, regardless.

    •  i'm actually glad she did (3+ / 0-)

because i think they're both flat-out wrong, and i'd like to see the discussion in democratic circles come around to that, regardless of whom people support. the reagan myth needs to be destroyed, and it's unacceptable for democrats to be propagating it.

    •  It's not a quote. (2+ / 0-)

It doesn't indicate what she said -- if anything -- or whether an interview took place.

See where it goes from here, but presenting it as a Clinton campaign quote -- as this diary does -- is outright fraud.

We must defeat them over there, or they'll follow us home ... hide under our beds ... and grab us by the ankles when we get up to pee.

The press release pretty explicit that an interview of some type took place.

"Every week the Salmon Press newspapers provide a local voice for many New Hampshire communities and I am honored to have their endorsement," said Senator Clinton. "I have enjoyed talking and meeting with voters in New Hampshire and earning their support in my campaign. I believe I am the candidate with the record and experience American families can depend on to make real change happen."

Sen. Clinton told us she doesn’t want our vote just because she’s a "woman." She wants our vote because she’s the "best." On the Democratic side we agree that she is.

Do you think the whole thing was fabricated? Do you think someone at the Salmon press newspapers made up the detail about her list of favorite presidents? Maybe, but it doesn't seem at all likely.

I'd be happy to see you at my blog.

... that is why I want to see Senator Clinton address this. If it is untruth, she will do what I outline in my first comment.

Why is that so hard to see, no matter who's "side" you are on.

The kerfluffle is very public now, so let's see how it gets resolved.

that many of the comments here are so demeaning to the Democratic candidates...any one of which I want in the White House.

We are mostly political junkies, but for others...I can see them never coming back for valuable information...which we have in abundance.

It's the hate comments that I detest.

on their own website?  Back when the Inevitability Express was rolling onto victory, how often did we hear about the famed message discipline of her campaign?

Bill Shaheen, Bob Kerrey, Bob Johnson, and now, her campaign is printing frauds on its OWN website.  Better shape up that message discipline, I guess.

Some men see things as they are and ask why. I see things that never were and ask why not?
