Why does she credit him regarding Civil Rights Legislation which her candidate (Goldwater) so adamently opposed?

unless I am mistaken the commenter is right that she  was a Goldwater girl.

We do not have to let Corp. America dictate who our nominee is. We do have a choice. Edwards/08

      •  Good question (0+ / 0-)

and yes, please ask her why her 35 yrs of service began by campaigning for the anti-Civil Rights Act candidate Goldwater against Johnson. And, as Obama has said, he doesn't see her comment as racial, rather it reflects how she looks at change: top-down, not grassroots-up. I'll bet Johnson rolled in his grave a bit over that one, but do I care, after LBJ let the FBI's Hoover stalk MLK, psychologically torture Dr. King (who knows what else) and try to drive him to suicide? No.

Johnson and Reagan both bite, a pox on both their houses, but yes, Obama has reclaimed the Reagan Democrats. I've met them, they're back with a vengeance to recruit supporters and dive into every community with us gladly to canvas. They are totally, completely through with the Republican Party, so like it or not, Obama is as effective as Reagan, who is the standard measure of successful political crossover.

I don't believe Hillary ever called Reagan a favorite in those exact words, it was probably an editorial flub overlooked by that radically controlling web crew she has. I certainly know Obama wasn't praising Reagan's policies, and Clinton and Edwards look desperate and silly to claim that.

Disclosure, I'm an Obama precinct captain, and I despise Hillary's funding and campaign tactics. I distrust Edwards, I can't pair his rhetoric with his record so I trust to distrust. Edwards was really dismal (environment 32%, civil rights - voted against giving ex-felons back their voting rights after completing their sentence and parole in NC) his one term, and I keep wondering, why does anyone think he has the experience?

Could Obama finish only one term, run for office in the middle of his first Senate term, and be considered experienced enough in his second run for POTUS with no other elected service? No way, never, nope! Well, by me, yes!
