agrarian past through your grandfather's life.

Question: Does your grandfather have memories of drinking fresh milk from the cow? If so, how does he compare that to pasteurized milk? And the flavors of food in general?

I ask because my great grandparents (whom I never knew; I only knew my 2 grandmothers, briefly) were farmers in Germany in the 19th century, but I grew up in a typical American suburb. All I ever wanted to do since I was 7 was to be a farmer. I've been doing that for 9 years so far, in 'retirement'.

I've read where most people of your granddad's background are gladly rid of the hard work of farming, and satisfied to buy food at the store. I'd be curious to hear what your granddad has to say about this. Memories of this sort are an important legacy. Are you aware of the conspiracy to destroy family farms and control all food by a few agribusinesses? It's frightening.

I can tell you that I like fresh milk from the cow lol.
Yes it was hard work, but the food did taste better according to him and me.
We grow our own meat and I have a garden.
Grandad always had a garden and Grandma always canned her vegetables.
She was famous for her green beans and strawberries!
