the easiest to beat would, I think, be Huckabee.

Huckabee is one wily, deeply hypocritical, extremely likeable bastard.

I mean, I can't help but like him and I KNOW he's shit

I don't find Huckabee likeable at all, but that was the traditional-media narrative for much of 2007.

McCain is likeable. Huckabee is a lying, pandering, transparent piece of garbage.

I saw him, in summer or early fall, being interviewed about "Sicko," and he said the reason health insurance is so expensive is because of the drain that fat people put on the system.

And it's been downhill from there.

        "Likeable"?

        I find him "barely tolerable."

        At best.

but his personal demeanor has a strong effect on many people, like you want him to be your uncle or something

If I was going to vote for a crazy but likeable uncle, I'd pull the lever for McCain.

I find Huckabee heinous. He is either delusional or the most bald-facd hypocrite ever to ru for the GOP nomination. (I know that's saying a lot.)

Maybe it's just me, but when I know somebody's full of shit, whatever personal "charm" the traditional media claim they have is totally lost on me.

The only "Great Communicator" in the Reagan Era was the traditional media telling us what a "Great Communicator" Ronald Reagan was. I was a Republican in 1980. But by the time I was old enough to vote - 1982 - I had turned against the GOP because I thought they were making fools of themselves by fawning over that delusional scarecrow.

Same thing with Mike Huckabee being "likeable." I don't see it.
