Words fail me at this moment as I reflect back on the movie Brokeback Mountain. It was the first time I felt that someone made something so beautiful that spoke to my own feeling of alienation while growing up. While I may now be an out and proud New Yorker now, before I moved here 5 years ago at the age of 35, I was completely in the closet.

When I saw the movie in the theater, I spent the last 30 minutes, if not more, in tears. My partner couldn't focus on the movie because he was to worried about me.

Eerily, we rewatched the movie last night. And now this tonight. Damn. Damn. Damn.
