    I cannot figure out just what the hell Mr. Dodd sees about FISA that he can't see about the war.

    It seems to me that a filibuster against the war is more important and even more doable.  You would find more disagreement among the Democrats about FISA than you would about the war.

      But this might be his reasoning.  The war, as horrible as it is, is a political issue.

      The FISA bill affects our constitutional rights.  Once a right is lost, it's almost impossible to regain.  Defending the constitution has priority over even the war.

      Just a thought, don't flame me and say I favor killing innocent civilians.

      virtually everything else that Congress has given or been asked to give Bush this year. He should have filibustered virtually everything. Each and everything is important. Unfortunately, we have to start with taking power back from Bush before we can even make a tiny dent in his war.
