I do not see Obama as the presumptive candidate. All the democratic candidates' health care plans are similar in that they ignore what I believe to be the best health care reform we could enact - Medicare for all. Single-payer universal health care. I don't believe for a second that the powerful insurance and pharmaceutical industries will simply lay down and allow significant changes to the system from which they profit. They will fight ANY reform if given the chance. That's why they must be excluded from the discussion. They CAUSED the current mess - why should we trust them to help reform the system? The other problem I have with all of the candidates' positions on this issue is that they appear to ignore self-employed and temporary contract workers, who must struggle to be able to find and afford decent health insurance.

I have worked for health insurance companies (actually documenting those infrastructures and databases you mention for one of the largest health insurance company in the country) and the level of waste and inefficiency is staggering.

Given all the negatives about a Clinton candidacy and presidency, I have a difficult time figuring out why people want to go through all that again.
