    as hell.

    •  I know you from here . . . (0+ / 0-)

. . . and I've read what you're written and I know you're not stupid.  Honestly, and not in an argumentative sense, I understand a lot of the hits on Obama and many contain more than a little bit of merit, but I don't see how a thinking person could say both camps are guilty in the same way.

just as politically "skilled" (or unskilled depending on your perspective) as the Clinton camp is.  I don't think they are victims.  I think that both camps were guilty of taking it too far in South Carolina - and before you or anyone else goes and calls me some sort of crazy traitor - please keep in mind that James Clyburn and many others called both campaigns and told them to cool it because they saw the danger zone the candidates' fight was pushing the Democratic Party into.  Did the Clintons go a bit farther?  Perhaps, but the Obamas went far enough to do their own dammage.  Personally, I am worried that they all were not reigned in soon enough.  I believe that each camp did dammage to itself and that they both managed to do dammage to the party overall.

You are a citizen of this site and making a reasoned argument.

What has got me a little hot-headed (I admit) is a very real perception that the Clinton campaign is using it in an orchestrated way to launch talking points and test trial balloons.

I think I have a pretty good record of discussing things with Clinton folks, and I even almost liked her myself until about a month ago.

I'd argue that them going farther is way beyond a perhaps, but its no matter.  My issue isn't with honest members of this site who support Clinton, even when they do so vigorously.

I'm having a problem with the simultaneous coordinated surfacing of new nasty Clinton campaign themes on a daily basis.  I think it is a real threat to the site if either the Clinton or Obama campaigns infiltrate the site to the point where it becomes simply a tool for their agenda against the other.

Also, I have a son, and he does and says stupid things all the time, so this dragging of a 23 year old boy through the mud really got my goat.

by both Clinton and Obama campaign people - and I would guess Edwards people too.  I agree that 23 year old sons and daughters can be stupid also and I am not eager to destroy them for all eternity either.  But I also get the fact that people get freaked about rape jokes...

Having said all of that, I would hope that everyone would consider fighting, but trying not to do it "to the death" which is what I feel we've done too much of within the party lately.  I have never been fans of the Clintons and always disagreed with the notion that they were the standard bearers of the party, but I don't quite feel like totally destroying them either - anymore than I feel like totally destroying Obama.  It seems lately that those are our only two choices though and I resent that.  Thanks for listening.
