Looked very light for me this morning in Seminole county.

I'm so pissed about that ammendment... Dirty tricks to put it on this primary ballot.

To me, the absolute most important issue ANY of us has, and this nation has, is that we are currently being ruled by a gang of immoral war criminals. -Hornito

    •  Dirty Tricks?? (0+ / 0-)

      could you explain?

      •  Sure (5+ / 0-)

        Nothing illegal, just immoral.

        1. Repub primary counts
        1. Dem primary doesn't
        1. Indies can't vote at all for a candidate

So they put a property tax cut ammendment on the primary ballot. Most indies don't even know its ON there. They mostly won't show since they know they can't vote for a presidential candidate. Lots of dems aren't turning out because Florida was stripped of its delegates.

So what we have is a primary vote where the turnout is HEAVILY skewed in favor of the republicans. So they put this property tax cut ammendment on.

And remember, in our last election we made it so ammendments need a supermajority to pass (60% iirc) rather than a majority.

We need to outlaw these ammendments on any ballot other than a general election IMO.

will vote in large numbers too!  The "Property Tax Amendment" doubles the homestead exemption, allows homeowners to take their accrued "Save the Home" tax cap, since 1993, with them to a new home and also, gives additional tax breaks to SENIORS.  This will definitely favor Hillary with older voters mostly showing up at the polls. Aside from the no-campaigning favoring Hillary, it was her partisan state Rep's that went along with the Republicans to change the date to begin with.  The SYSTEM WAS GAMED in Hillary's favor from the start.  (even without the "Independent" and "swing" votes going to Obama or Edwards because of the "closed" primary)

We've been getting gamed from all sides for years... This primary is no exception. Gamed by republicans, gamed by our state democrats, gamed by Clinton.

All I want is some fair elections. Maybe someday.
