    It seems to revoke the oversight requirement altogether, doesn't it?  And for reporting espionage against private US companies? I would do a diary on this, even if it's just to suss it all out. BTW your link doesn't work.

    Just plugging through the important parts:

    More specifically, the DPA provides two distinct types of powers: One is the future oriented authority to expand and protect the United States industrial base under titles III and VII.
    The other is the title I authority
    to "conscript industry's to ensure the timely availability of products, materials, services, and facilities for defense preparedness and national emergency requirements.


    This EO also revokes EO 12919 sec 801 which says : ...Director of Central Intelligence, shall complete and furnish a report to the President and then to Congress...of the Act concerning foreign efforts to acquire United States companies involved in research, development, or production of critical technologies and industrial espionage activities directed by foreign governments against private U.S. companies.
