    And I waited, because I didn't want to be the first post.

    Now that you've posted, let me say that I was incredibly moved by your warm and touching tribute to your Dad.  And I extend my deepest condolences to you.  But I also want to assure you, even though it may not be apparent at this time, that as long as you hold on to that love and those memories, and share them aloud, your Dad will always be with you.

      I am not a person of faith.  

      My father taught thousands of students in Tazewell County, Illinois. I take the greatest comfort in knowing that because of the kind person he was he touched most of them and changed their lives.

      That memory will live on and be his legacy.  I know that and that is where I take comfort.
