    multiple precincts caucus at the same location. if there is no elected precinct chair, usually what will happen is that you guys will wait for the other precinct to finish up their caucus and their precinct chair will begin your caucus. then, like i said, the first thing you do is elect a precinct chair, and that's when you grab the gavel and take over.

    now, there are definitely exceptions.  if you get trained on how to run your caucus, by all means, grab the gavel right away. i'm just trying to emphasise that there is a backup process in place if there is no elected chair for your precinct.

      I'm so very ready to wrap my brain around this.  I hope I can get a good turnout in my precinct.  I've never done this before...

      But, we learn by doing, right? :)
