      Missed the 'volunteer' part of it. Yeah, I'm not seeing why he wasn't good on a B-2; but hey, I'm not with CBP, so I don't get their idiocy.

      Neuhauser said he was told by the U.S. consulate in Austria on Jan. 15 that he could return to the U.S. on a tourist visa and apply for a work visa once he was back in Alaska. link)

      It is not permitted to enter the US on a tourist visa with the intent on applying for a work visa in the US. The US Consulate should not have told him otherwise.
