    Ugh, I'm so confused about this bill, and I'm a political junkie. What exactly did Casey vote for and against?

      are just the people who voted with Dodd on telco amnesty. Casey voted with Dodd on this, but he voted for cloture on the whole bill anyway, even though he was presumably opposed to amnesty being included in it.

        I thought voting for cloture and then making a meaningless vote against the bill or amendment when it's safe to do so, thereby claiming you were against something you wanted to pass was standard operating procedure for the Democrats? How come we're all falling for it this time?
