  •  Most substantive research out there.... (5+ / 0-)

I was just about to go to thomas.loc.gov to check their records and diary it but you have given me a jump start that will save me a lot of time. Your work is some of the most exhaustive and substantive I have seen in any media form. Thank You! I agree with those who are saying this should be distributed. It should be distributed widely.

Issues it will provide you specific topics. click on the topic and at the end of each page in a section describing what Obama has acheived to date related to each of the issues.

I thought I'd learn the answer to the question Tweety posed last night to the hapless Senator from Texas, so I'd have the info at hand for myself..

      Example-

      Barack Obama's Record on Economy

Housing: In the U.S. Senate, Obama introduced the STOP FRAUD Act to increase penalties for mortgage fraud and provide more protections for low-income homebuyers, well before the current subprime crisis began.

Predatory Lending: In the Illinois State Senate, Obama called attention to predatory lending issues. Obama sponsored legislation to combat predatory payday loans, and he also was credited with lobbying the state to more closely regulate some of the most egregious predatory lending practices.

American Jobs: Barack Obama introduced the Patriot Employer Act of 2007 to provide a tax credit to companies that maintain or increase the number of full-time workers in America relative to those outside the US; maintain their corporate headquarters in America; pay decent wages; prepare workers for retirement; provide health insurance; and support employees who serve in the military.

    •  kinda sad that this is the most substantive (0+ / 0-)

research out there.  I greatly appreciate Grassroots Mom's diary (tipped and recced), but the topic has been debated for months.  It says a lot about our media that no professional reporter/columnist/talk show host (that I've seen) has come out with something like this.

What's the point the press having freedom of speech if they're not going to say anything?
