She says he's an unqualified, inexperienced plagiarist, but she's smart enough to know her attacks are full of shit.  There's no way she believes her own rhetoric.

She is willing to say and do just about anything to win.  I think she's having doubts now, though, about whether going more negative would even help her win, and she's beginning to think about not torpedoing her chances for 2012 and 2016.  So she's just going through the motions on that scripted negativity now.

It did seem like she finally realized, for a second, that she was standing next to someone who's truly a better politician than she is, someone who bested her without even playing dirty.  For someone whose career has been defined by saying and doing anything to win, by maintaining that the ends justify the means, the realization that someone's beating her while taking the high road has to be pretty humbling.

She is too smart to believe her own attacks, and too jaded to shy away from throwing that Xerox line -- who still says "Xerox" anyway? -- while also finishing with a plagiarized statement.

I also think she knows she's been beaten by somebody who has helped ignite a true national grassroots social movement.  Maybe now she actually respects him, or at least that's what I hope.

I sincerely want to like and respect her, and hope that she has finally realized just how behind the curve her campaign strategy really was.

and she'll be to old in 2016.  It's now or never, and she knows that.
