That the best thing that can happen for party unity is if there is a coordinated effort by Obama surrogates to disavow the "Clintons were race-baiting" smears.

I think there are a lot of Clinton backers who are very bitter over these phony allegations against them and it would probably help unity if the Obama backers helped ensure that the charges that were used to help defeat her don't become a permanent part of her and Bill's legacy.   I'll support Obama no matter what, but I do think that (surrogates, not Obama) disavowing the smears would help bring the party back together after his victory.

if this is a common gripe amongst clinton supporters, i think your idea is the best comment of this thread!

It's probably the most common complaint from Clinton supporters that I hear.

        •  that's right (0+ / 0-)

          because it is true.

And Obama's campaign won't disavow it, because then they would have to admit that their campaign was partially based on a blatant smear against the Clintons, which they won't do.

mccain supporter. You will only vote for certain democrats because your ego is wounded. I have no respect for that.

I didn't say that.  I said I consider him unqualified to be President.  If you actually listen to what I'm saying instead of deciding what I really mean, then the communication will work much better.

              •  It doesn't chaneg the fact... (0+ / 0-)

That all your rhetoric is empty... from your diary to the article you cited to all you comments on this thread:

And Obama's campaign won't disavow it, because then they would have to admit that their campaign was partially based on a blatant smear against the Clintons, which they won't do.

                Factless pointless drivel...
