  •  Apologies from Missouri... (0+ / 0-)

One of our state congressmen who also happens to be a superdelegate for Hillary (sorry, I didn't get his name fast enough), just said in an interview on MSNBC that African American superdelegates who continue to support Hillary are being subjected to threats and harassment.

Norah O'Donnell pointed out that none of the African American superdelegates who have switched to Obama (most notably John Lewis) have mentioned those tactics but this guy was insistent, and said there's no way John Lewis would ever admit to being threatened or harassed.

I have no doubt this will get traction now that it's on the teevee, so we can expect this to be the next line of attack coming from the Clinton campaign.

P.S.  I'm sure there are some overzealous constituents out there who want to be sure their African American congress members are representing their votes, but I have no doubt the Obama campaign wouldn't resort to this types of Rethuglican tactics.  If this IS happening... I'm sure Obama would condemn AND reject it.

    •  /snark Of course, because no black person could.. (0+ / 0-)

ever have a mind of their own.

    •  I'd threaten not to vote for them. (0+ / 0-)

Seriously.  If I lived in a district that voted for Obama and my representative was saying that he or she would not vote for Obama as a superdelegate, I would threaten not to vote for that representative in the next election.

And there has been plenty of harassment by the Clinton camp.  I saw one superdelegate interviewed who said that the Clinton camp accused him of being sexist since he was not voting for Clinton.
