    I am not saying that Rockefeller's vote was right - it was wrong.

    But his endorsement helps Obama, and rejecting the endorsement would hurt Obama, and make him seem like a spoiled child.  

    Obama would, I think, be a better president than Clinton, and a far better president than McCain, and, if Rockefeller's endorsement helps to make Obama president, that's a good thing.

    Politicians don't come in an "all good" model, and if we reject everyone who does something wrong - even something seriously wrong - then we will be alone.  In the minority.  With eternal Republican rule.

    Jefferson owned slaves - should we reject the declaration of independence?

    Lincoln thought Blacks inferior to Whites - should we reject the emancipation proclamation?

    FDR was an anti-Semite who ignored the Holocaust - should we throw out the new deal?
