    And it's possible that it could be done by someone ill-advised of the rules with no malice intended.

    What matters is that any pre-signed sheets (real or imagined) not be accepted by the chairs and those numbers not be included in the calculations for delegate allocations.

      If the voter hands in their own sheet, it should count.

        before the convention was called to order, I could see that.

        Article IV, Section B6 of Rules of the Texas Democratic Party clearly sets out the order of business and role responsibility at the Precinct Convention. The temporary chair is responsible for preparing the roll.

        I could see a temporary chair rejecting such a sign-in sheet and requiring the participant to sign-in on a common roll.
