Not sure where (physically) you're coming from and your level of participation in the Obama campaign. Feels v. bottom up to me in comparison with Clinton. However, I'd like to know more about your take on it.

Not trying to be confrontational. I'm really trying to understand what people I disagree with think.

As for "just charismatic," well, from my vantage point, there's no "just" charismatic after Kerry and pre-loss Gore.

My "feel" on this is that the Clinton campaign is paying more canvassers than Obama is paying. Which plays into the whole 50 state thing.

Obama does seem to running a post Dean Scream campaign when it comes to field operataions, this is the age of Carol Shea Porter who won on NH-1 in '06. She spent 200k, got outspent by 5 to one, but beat the republican incumbant thru 650 volunteers knocking on doors every weekend.

I see the Clinton campaign as running a 1990's style campaign, but as of Deans Scream, everything the Clintons learned in the 1990's became obsolete.

"Just charismatic," well Bill Clinton is the best Extemporaneous speaker on the planet & very charismatic. But that hasn't translated into "Boots on the ground" as least compared to the Obama campaign. It could be that the difference is the bottom up mentality, the organizer in me says yes it is.
