Those are very destructive comments, but after repeating them 3 times I don't know how she retracts them.

It's a silly strategy for her to use, because neither of them can match McCain for experience.

If anything, by doing this, it looks like she's taking a dive to ensure the nomination goes to Obama so that he can continue to campaign on "change".  Democrats do not want to hear their candidate praising someone who promises to continue Bush's policies--we saw how well that worked out for Lieberman in the Democractic primaries.

If she continues that tack, I'm might start believing the party elders told her throwing this election (without being too obvious) is the best way to ensure a united Democratic party gets behind Obama in November.  If she outright quits, half of the party will be disappointed--but taking a dive by pulling a Lieberman, hmmmmm....

With the expectation that he will lose and thereby discredit the entire "Change" agenda.

Beltway insiders would keep their perquisites in that scenario.

      •  I hope they're not that self-destructive (0+ / 0-)

Democrats will be more divided than ever if we can't pull off some serious victories (downticket as well) in November!

        •  If there is a Globetrotters versus Generals (0+ / 0-)

mentality (with K Street pulling the strings of BOTH parties) a bad result for Democrats in November could benefit behind the scenes players.

Discredit the progressive "movement" and the DLC WINS even if we do badly in November.
