  •  Again, POWERS WAS UNPAID! (7+ / 0-)

So how do you resign? And It was the MSM that has all reported that she was fired.

    •  Kind of like morphing Powers into a "top" advisor (3+ / 0-)

There is no way that either candidate can control all of their supporters/volunteers/advisors. But it seems when a Clinton-affiliated person does something untoward, like sending out the Muslim e-mail, he or she is just a lowly volunteer. When an Obama-affiliated person does it, she is a top advisor.

I focus much more closely on what the candidates themselves have to say, such as when a candidate herself characterizes John McCain as qualified to be commander in chief and a fellow Democrat who is leading right now as not being qualified.

Clinton with even a fraction of the venom she used in these various quotes about "experience" and threshold crossing?

the distinction between them on the Iraq war has been drawn very sharply. For me, the test is whether the attack would forestall one candidate from endorsing the other in the GE. If the tenor and content of the attack is such that it would make an endorsement or campaigning for the other implausible, I think it is over the line for a party primary process. I sadly believe that HRC crossed that "threshold," to use her term, when she said this:

I have a lifetime of experience that I would bring to the White House. I know Senator McCain has a lifetime of experience that he would bring to the White House. And Senator Obama has a speech he gave in 2004.

I was so surprised and disappointed by it that I actually listened several times in order to write it down, verbatim. Forgetting the oxymoronic aspect, as everyone has a lifetime of experience by definition, it indicated to me individually that winning the nomination is more important to HRC than the Democratic party winning the White House.

      •  Perhaps you're confusing Samantha Powers (0+ / 0-)

with Stephanie Ackerman, 14, who waived a sign at Obama's Sandusky, OH rally and called Hillary "a really random poopie pants."  Samantha Powers is the Pulitzer Prize winning Harvard Professor who has been repeatedly called, by the campaign, a Senior Advisor and whom the Washington Post has said (before she resigned) "retains unlimited access to Obama."   That's the one all the hub-bub is about.
