    A hazing.

And that's another thing that Evening Joe mentioned... He said that this whole Wright fiasco forced Obama to show us what's he got in times of crisis.  And he passed the test with flying colors  -- he's been calm, collected, thoughtful and showed judgement, which is exactly what one wants in a president.  (I know we Americans spell the j-word without the "e" but I went to a British high school).

So yeah, i think among those who are capable of being reasonable, they can see that Obama is dealing with  this situation really well.  The rest is up to the American people.  Are we going to deal with this like thoughtful adults... or not?

Meanwhile, I think it is fascinating that the NYT is running this story.  I am not entirely hopeful though.  One day Hillary was just about conceding the election, and the next day she was railing at the camera like a crazed loon and throwing the kitchen sink.

Finally -- it is 2008. The national nightmare is almost over.

      one kitchen sink.

I know what you are saying.  I wrote a diary about a Times story that made it sound like it was almost Appomattox.  It was about three weeks ago or so...although it feels like a coupla eternities.

But I think that's the point of the story...her options are getting limited by the day.  One can only hope, I guess.  In the meantime, Obama appears to be soaring again.  I think this will start showing up in subsequent, post speech polls.  He's getting crazy good press from the non bottom feeders right now.

      •  Plus...with the NAFTA story... (0+ / 0-)

hitting again and some other stories flying about, HRC may have her own explaining to do on some things.  The chickens may be coming home to roost.

Of course, what I'm saying may be totally wishful thinking.
