  •  This is not about what McCain believes... (5+ / 0-)

..McCain can't maintain Hagee's & Parsley's endorsements unless he sticks to the "abstinence only" position.

Whatever McCain may privately believe concerning these issues does not trump his pandering to his far right End Timers.

He must nail down the religious nut voting block if he is even going to come close to beating Obama.

And his religious nuts do not want to believe people are going to fuck (therefore need protection) outside the confines of traditional marriage.

and then I'll tell you what my positions are.

Impeachment is a duty, not an option that can be taken off the table.

Than that is just another reason to make sure he doesn't win.

Fuck his right wing asshole endorsers...if he can't be honest, and if he is so beholden to these lunatics- he doens't belong as our President.

I'd just love to know what Hagee and Parsley and the rest of these kooks are doing in private... if it concerned little boys... I wouldn't be a bit surprised.

You just have to know they are hypocrites underneath all the religious crap they spew.

Are you talking about Bush or McCain?  Applies to both equally.

Remember how they framed Bush as the "First Great Christian President?"  For some reason, you don't hear that anymore from the End Timers.

Meanwhile, they don't even bother framing McCain as an authentic Christian.  McCain's willingness to keep Iraq going forever is "Christian enough" for them.  That & refusing to believe people fuck outside of man-on-woman marriage.

        •  It applies to both (0+ / 0-)

Unfortunately, it's pretty much too late to do anything about the first idiot (GWB).

At least now we can do something to prevent a second moron (JSM) from succeeding him.

I love how they frame all these holier than thou, conservatives as "great Christians" during election time...and all the religious nut jobs buy it- hook, line, and sinker.

If Jesus saw them and their actions, he'd do to them what he did to the money lenders at the Temple.

I'm Jewish- sometimes I wish Jesus would come back, just tell all these self-righteous shmucks how wrong they are.

    •  What about within traditional marriage? (1+ / 0-)

If you've got a young twentysomething married couple making minimum wage, shouldn't contraception be available? What if they already have kids?

Do they want to promote abstinence only inside marriage? Or do they want to provide more taxpayer assistance for young families? Or do they just not care?

Contraception is a life skill. You still need to know about it and have access to it even if you're married and over 18.

Fry, don't be a hero! It's not covered by our health plan!
