i do not think these words mean what you think they mean.

in regards to whether this is a constitutional issue, google is your friend. there are literally hundreds of cases of abuse by CPS. there is a whole movement to amend the constitution to give parents more rights. there are organizations who make it their goal to fight back against CPS. believe it or not, i'm not the first person to raise an eyebrow when children are forcibly removed from their parent's home without as much as a written accusation.

You yourself just said that efforts are under way to amend the Constitution, which means it's not unconstitutional now.

And in those hundreds of other cases, there are probably many where police, CPS, a vengeful neighbor, etc. dropped the ball and did the wrong thing.  I've heard horror stories about people losing their kids at the slightest suggestion of anything inappropriate, and I empathize with people in that situation.  But that doesn't seem to be the case here, does it?

I don't think anyone here is trying to say that this is the right thing to do every time, or even most of the time. This is an exceptional case in many ways.

Jumping on the politicalcompass.org bandwagon: (-3.63, -3.03) - Does that make me part of the right wing here?
