    Some very good resources, especially for those water-wealthy areas (we get 10-12 inches in a good year, so my standards have changed since I lived near the Chesapeake Bay).

    Xeric, low-water use yards and public spaces are crucial, and once installed, cost so much less in water, fertilizers/pesticides, labor, than traditional care of green grass.

    This doesn't mean that you can't have big roses and flower beds, hell no, replacing grass turf gives a person plenty of opportunity to create all sorts of pleasing garden and landscape groupings.

    I mentioned a couple of weeks ago that we have 3 250 gal rain tanks, and am so pleased by the results am considering adding another 2 tanks to the system. We have a pitched metal roof, runoff quantity  is astounding.
