  •  LOL (0+ / 0-)

that you are an anti-socialist, anti-Chavez type.

I am anti-authoritarian.  I don't like those who subvert democracy, whether they are from the left or right.

You want to universalize American values about the State and power, and what is right and wrong in terms of culture, vocationally choice, and much else, as the only acceptable options.

What the fuck is that?  Democracy, freedom of the press, freedom of dissent are not just American values.  They are universal values.  And Chavez threatens them.

Like American democracy?  American freedom of the press?  LOL on you.

The IMF is a loan shark, bill collector, and repo man all rolled into one.

    •  Chavez does not subvert democracy (0+ / 0-)

I don't think you understand the kind of un-democratic aristocratic opposition he is constantly dealing with.  They still own most of the media there, and constantly spew their anti-Chavez propaganda non-stop.  They also used the airwaves to organize the coup attempt, and after Pedro Carmona took over, he thanked the TV stations on air for aiding in the coup.

Do you think a US TV station would get shut down for organizing a coup?  I think so.
