    to see Obama beat Hillary and McCain, I have little hope that once he's in power he'll do very much to dismantle anything that Bush has put into place.

    Even assuming he really wanted to do so, the institutional pressures and behind-the-scenes players are just too powerful, such that if they tried to change things, they'd have ways of making sure such attempts were unsuccessful, even to the point of assassinating him, if it proved necessary.

    Folks,  We really are an oligarchy with a FACADE of democracy.  Always have been.  Always will be.

      Initiative dismantlinbg the database State will have to come from the Congress, and the States.

      Without the Presidency, Republican lawmakers may be more willing to cross lines, knowing a Dem's AG.
