    •  Of Peter Paul vs WJC, HRC Superior Court (CA)? (3+ / 0-)

(Peter) Paul emerged in 2000 as the largest contributor to Senatorial candidate Hillary Clinton. ...he was trying to attract her husband, then-President Bill Clinton, to serve on the board of Stan Lee Media after leaving office.Paul stated he hoped to negotiate a pardon for his previous criminal convictions.
Paul produced and underwrote "the largest fund raising event ever held for a federal candidate in Los Angeles" days before the 2000 Democratic Convention began. While raising over $1 million for Hillary Clinton's Senate campaign, the event cost $1.9 million to organize according to Paul and $500,000 according to the Federal Election Commission filing.

         2 U.S.C. Sec 441a (a)(7)(B)(I) provides:

Expenditures made by any person in cooperation, consultation, or concert, with, or at the request or suggestion of, a candidate, his authorized political committees, or their agents, shall be considered to be a contribution to such candidate. (Therefore Peter Paul's expenditures cannot be deemed to be a "soft money" contribution)

         (f) No candidate shall knowingly accept any contribution in violation of the provisions of this section...

(a)(1)(A) No person shall make contributions... to any candidate with respect to any election for Federal office which, in the aggregate, exceed $2,000.

         2 U.S.C. Sec 437g(d)(1)(A)(I) provides:

Any person who knowingly and willfully commits a violation of any provision of this act which involves the making, receiving, or reporting of any contribution, donation, or expenditure (I) aggregating $25,000 or more during a calendar year shall be fined under Title 18, or imprisoned for not more than 5 years, or both...

      Make that change.

      •  So I floated this idea earlier: Nuclear Mondays (3+ / 0-)

t seems the only way we can stop HRC is to go all out Nuclear on her ass. I hate stooping to her level, but it is the only way to save our party. So I propose a method to wage all out war against her.

Every Monday I'm going to start a Thread discussing something damaging to HRC. Then the fun begins, comments must be about how you helped to disseminate the story to TM, or about additional dirty laundry in HRC's hamper. Anyone complying with these guidelines must be rec'd by any new commenter akin to Mojo Fridays. Everybody wins, except HRC.

What do you think? I'm going to start with "Hillary's Pastor Problem, David Coe"
