  •  a bunch of cops fired 50 bullets (8+ / 0-)

    at an unarmed black man.

    Cops walk.

    Them's the facts.

Rodney King deserved his beating, we were told, because of facts not caught on tape.

One can beg credulity only so far.

There is a helluva lot more--only the Constitutional guarantees to be assumed innocent until proven guilty and the right to a fair trial--to taking away someone's liberty than the simple fact that that someone is a police officer who shot an unarmed man.

And this has nothing to do with Rodney King.

      Good grief.

there were four folks involved on the defendent's side. Also wearing a badge not fun. You have family and work with people who are at their worst. I am not saying the cops are right or wrong just that given the right situation, wrong time, wrong place anything can happen. In 1990 I stopped a speeding car after a brief chase in excess of 100mph. The car had NY tags. One of the occupants started to reach down and almost died, I was right outside his window firearm drawn. When we got the two out we found 5 kilos of Coke they were sampling and 4 handguns under the seat. Had i not reacted and had not been as close as I was, I might not have been here today to rant against Bushie Boy. Had the vehcal initially stopped, that same possibility would have been more likely. Luckily it didn't and the picture of 20 police officers armed with guns in hand had a sobering affect, as opposed to one officer with ticket book in hand.

        when you took it...right?

        Just asking.

Why did those people have guns and drugs?
