  •  Not fixable, I agree with Loralei. (0+ / 0-)

I learned a long time ago in the construction business:

When things go to shit and everything you might do could easily just result in more shit, call it a day, clean up the shit and start the next day fresh.

That's exactly the situation we're in now.

In addition, that poll you cite, let's look more closely at that.

    • Who was polled? Repubs & Dems?
    • If Repubs & Dems were both polled, what portion of Dems made up the 25% that didn't care about a re-vote?
    • What would the Dems reaction be should a re-vote not happen or maybe not even be possible?
    • In the vote that did take place, what's the fair thing to do about Edwards votes?
    • What about voters who registered after the initial vote, or those that changed parties later?

There is just no happy way to fix it. You certainly can't change the rules in the middle of a race. Even seating the delegates in some way carries a series of nasty risks for blowback.

It's an ugly situation, but it's the one we have. Chalk it up to experience, fix the rules after the election and move on. Florida has no special claim to wisdom that the rest of the nation doesn't have. It surely won't make any difference to Hillary, thus it won't change the situation. Accept the shitty situation and move on.

... how are any less-than-wealthy-Americans different from the slave of 170 years ago?
