  •  GED students must present a photo ID (8+ / 0-)

    before they can take their tests. Getting a photo ID can cause a long delay for those who want to take their tests.  They have to figure out how to get to the DMV (by bus), fill out the forms, and then wait and wait for the photo ID to appear. It's very frustrating to have students ready to test and then they can't because of the photo ID requirement. You'd think a teacher could accompany the student to the test and vouch for his or her identity, or the school itself could provide a testing ID, but no.
