I hope you are right about the N.C black vote..

So far , i really overestimated the amount of black voters would show up to vote for Obama in past primaries.

In TX , only 18% of the primary voters were black , but they were word it could be up to 35%.

In PA , the black vote was only 15%...I though that if it had been 20-25 , Obama would probably be coasting right now.

Let's hope the black vote is about 40% of the NC electorate.

I know about my North Carolina home. South Carolina and Georgia too. Those are closer to what is happening here. They both had huge turnout. Obama has a great ground game here. We also have many Universities with students working their asses off for Obama. They are what is making the difference here. While somebody is wasting money making robo-calls they're busy driving people to the polls to register AND vote. In North Carolina we can vote early and we can vote at the same time we register if we register late. That means all of those college students everybody else had to worry about showing up to vote on election day in other states already have here. They all voted when they registered. Now they're devoting their energy to getting others to do the same. All states should have the same voter friendly rules. We would get a lot better turnout.

NC districts are gerrymandered to keep AA voters "in their place" as in all together. There are going to be districts which have only 2-4 percent non white and those with 50+ % non white.

I think the current % in NC is around 25% concentrated around Durham and Charlotte and Wilmington.

For the history of one of those gerrymandered districts:

The current districts are not that tortured, but the original district illustrates predominatly black parts of the state.
