  •  What's that expression about a broken clock? (11+ / 0-)

However, Clinton's take on Wright, in the wake of his performance at the National Press Club, has proven to be a more accurate assessment than my own.

Please don't give Hillary any undue credibility on this account. Her egotism and that of her husband's is on par with that of Rev. Wright. They can be occasionally correct but that is only secondary to something else. The most valuable lesson that can be learned from these superego types is that they are skilled manipulators, they mix truth with ambition like Vodka with Vermouth. One compliments the other in a pleasant way but the goal remains nothing more than another way to obscure senses of the drinker.

By contrast, I believe Obama's visible disappointment today was as earnest as the speech he gave in Philadelphia. It's a rare gift to witness an honest man in public life having an honest reaction to the nasty clash between optimistic idealism and crude politics.

Obama still has my confidence and my vote. Although Hillary's gains have been based on the misfortune of others, and she will still get nothing from me.
