American populace are functionally illiterate and incapable of performing basic mathematical operations.

    For example, the illiteracy rate...

Literacy.org: 38% illiteracy rate for adults in the United States.

The National Center for Education Statistics: 21% illiteracy rate among adults--8 million people unable to perform basic literacy tasks.

Americans are, in fact, quite ignorant.

      Let's see,
Little Joey complains to Principal John that the class bully ('Big Earl') is taking away his lunch money every day. Principal John tells Joey that Earl needs the money more than Joey does, so it would not be nice to stop him, but he is going to take a nickel from little Tommy to 'help' Joey pay for part of his lunch. Miss Hill (the teacher) says "Oh my, that is just a wonderful idea!". At that point, Joey and Tommy go back to their seats and cry, while Earl goes to lunch with the Principal and the Teacher.....
Naahhh - most of them wont get it.

ps - my first ever post - wish it didn't have to be a fairy tail.

    •  I can solve that problem (0+ / 0-)

Change every stop sign in the country from a red octagon to a random shape and color.  Should clear that illiteracy thing right up.
