  •  40% AA turnout cannot be maintained... (1+ / 0-)

what 40% AA early voting turnout means is that most AA have voted early. What's left will be far less.

The rest now depends on white voter turnout. If lots of white voters turn out on election day, that reduces the AA percentage turnout considerably.

    •  Well it may mean (0+ / 0-)

that a good majority of these folks took advantage of one-stop and registered to vote at the same time.

And to tell you the truth there are no numbers in our history to account for them.

We just don't know what these numbers mean.

    •  Not If You Figure That 38%... (0+ / 0-)

...of registered Democrats are AA. A 2% bump in overall percentage turn-out by AA voters is not disproportionate, when you consider who's running.

I think a 40% percent AA share of the electorate is about right, given how much they make up of registered Democrats. It should hold up through election day. This is why Hill can't come close to winning NC.

    •  No it doesn't. (0+ / 0-)

Your assuming all blacks (40%) of the total state electorate voted.

Remember this is a Primary. It just means, that 40% of the 300,000+ thousand people voted.

So why couldn't it continue, with the rest of the vote. Remember, turn out, will probably be near 2million in North Carolina.
