    Nothing's assured, but every voter that goes in an pulls a lever for a Democrat is going to be many times more likely to pull a lever for a Democrat in November.

    Once people have made a commitment towards a party (or brand of soda pop) no matter how minor, they're hooked. Ask any salesperson!

    I don't think we can overestimate the significance of this.

    A Republican running for office in '08? Like a rat getting on a sinking ship.

      crossed over to vote for Obama even though she could have voted (and wanted to) against Burton on the R ticket. I was torn between advising her to stay with the R ballot and go McGoff (still an R but way better than Danny boy) and encouraging her to stick with Obama. She sort of likes Obama, doesn't like McCain at all and if she sticks around for November because of the primary vote--that's a beautiful thang!
