  •  Dividing the question (0+ / 0-)

Torture is one thing, the war itself is another.  I'm for the potential for prosecutions over torture, but against any potential for prosecutions over the decision to go to war.  It's legal to lie to people to justify a war.

    •  Aggessive war is a war crime. (7+ / 0-)

It was codified at Nuremberg, where it was defined as "the supreme crime".

The crime isn't lying.  The crime is aggressive war.

Iraq was not, and could not have been, a threat to the security of the United States.

      That was known.

Iraq had nothing whatsoever do with the criminal bombings of 9/11/2001, which were carried out by (almost exculsively) Saudi Arabians trained in Afghanistan.

The crime is the war crime of aggressive war.

Every member of the Bush Administration is guilty.

We allow ourselves to be ruled by war criminals.

Vote TORTURE. Vote DEATH. Vote REPUBLICAN: the party of torturers and war criminals.
