    That's their job. I really don't get why Congress has consented to stay under the Executive's thumb for all these years regarding national security. From a separation of powers standpoint, they really shouldn't be beholden to the executive for security clearances. They should have an internal vetting process, but they're our duly elected representatives and should have free access to the executive's information without being spoon-fed by some undersecretary.
