    More important than being well-known nationally is not being a DC insider.

    I disagree that a double minority ticket is any more risky than a single-minority ticket. Either people will look past their prejudices or they won't.

    I personally don't think Obama should pick a VP based on how many electoral votes their state has. Her appeal will reach outside of her state and into the greater Midwestern region.And 6 EVs is nothing to sneeze at.

    I agree that Obama will do fine among women.

    Putting a senior statesman on the ticket, imho, would be a huge mistake for two reasons. One, it reinforces Obama's perceived "weakness" of being "inexperienced" in the first place. It also undermines his message of change.

    One of Obama's traits that has always impressed me is his calm, measured demeanor. I think Kathleen Sebelius would reinforce the "the grownups are back in charge" aura.
