    I just have a couple of quick observations.

    It's possible that you're being a little unfair to Cheers. Ken Levine co-wrote an episode that won a GLAAD media award about a gay retired baseball player.

    I think it's important to recognize that (irrespective of the White case) diminished capacity, temporary insanity, and related defenses are valid and important elements of a humane criminal-justice system.

      I included what of it I remember. Since I was born in 1981 and didn't watch much TV in the 1980s, all I could write about was what I've seen in reruns and the two seasons of Cheers I've seen off DVD.
