  •  It makes it worth it to write these labor diaries (10+ / 0-)

    when I see comments like "I didn't know anything about this."
      I've started putting reminders in my Google calendar for certain anniversaries in labor history.

     I honestly think that the labor movement in this country has bottomed out. I think we've reached (or about to reach) a point where the labor movement starts gaining traction again.
      Judging from history, it'll take at least a generation or more before labor is strong again, but it will happen.

     In the meantime, stories like this need to be shared. People need to be educated. Educating people is a form of organizing.

    Warning: ambitious careerists may now be disguised as "progressives."
