Rendell boosts Obama in every match-up except against McCain/Huckabee, where Obama/Rendell leads McCain/Huckabee by 7 while Obama himself would lead McCain (by himself) by 8--which is within the margin of error.

Polling aside, I don't see any point to putting Rendell on the ticket anyway.

    Prediction: Obama/Sebelius defeats McCain/Pawlenty, 335-203.

You are are correct on the polling though, it was every other state SurveyUSA polled recently (Ohio, Virginia, California, New Mexico) in which Rendell's number was consistently lower than Obama by himself.

In PA, Rendell added +1 for two match ups and -1 for a third, which means essentially no effect in his home state, a notable weakness; however, I was incorrect in stating that he dragged Obama's numbers down in PA, as he does not.

Do we really want another YEAR of trying to explain to everyone why the Democratic nominee voted to authorize the Iraq war before they were against it?
