to keep the FEC without a quorum.

I advocated in a comment below an immediate complaint to the FEC followed by a civil suit against the McCain camapaign because an administrative remedy is not possible with no working FEC, leaving no recourse but the Federal Court.

Since elections involving Barack Obama are upcoming, and the impact of the ad campaign can negatively affect the voter's perception of Obama, then he has standing to get this on a Federal Court fast track.

The organization should also be included as a defendant in the lawsuit, and discovery should demand that the funding sources of the organization be disclosed.

Once the funders are known, the 10K filings of each corporation they are employed with, and the names of the Board members of those corporations need to be made public in a very strong manner, for instance a full page ad adjacent to the OP-ED pages of the NYT, WSJ, WAPO etc. to make people aware that the companies are involved in financing swiftboat political attacks.

This tactic was developed by right wing religious organizations against the board of Abercrombie and Fitch and it immediatedly caused the cancellation of the distribution of a sexually explicit catalog, and effected a change in policy of the company to prevent future catalogs with similar material in it.

It worked, it was cheap, let's use it against them this time.
