      How do you know who responded to this? If what you say is true, I think their jobs just might be in jeopardy.

        I think they probably figured someone else would pick their candidate so that their "two-timing" wouldn't be obvious.  But since everybody abandoned their candidates, they're left with that drafty feeling around their backside.
